This is all water based as that makes messes non-existent! There are 4 types of water pens, tracing markers, stencils- even a book showing you how to draw. The doodle mat is very easy to use and clean! Kids can draw/color and never worrying about getting paint or crayons marks on any of walls, carpet or furniture, plus it provides an activity that keeps the kids busy and also their learning and are able to be creative. The mat works when water is added to it, it displays a color. The kids can draw with the water markers to show drawings and then when the water dries the drawing goes away.
