About Kraken Bond Black Aquarium Silicone Sealant
Kraken Bond 100% Silicone Sealant for Aquarium For use in aquarium building and glazing applications, a non-toxic, solvent-free silicone sealant. It is a fish tank silicone sealant with outstanding adherence to glass and many other non-porous surfaces that is based on the acetic curing technique. Silicone sealant is one of an aquarium's most important parts. It makes sense given that silicone is what holds your aquarium together. Without it, your aquarium would be nothing more than a collection of glass panes. ππ‘π¦π§π₯π¨ππ§ππ’π‘π¦ βοΈ Ensure that surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and grease-free. βοΈ The application temperature must be between +41 Β°F and +104 Β°F. βοΈ After the application, the sealant must be tooled with light pressure within 5 minutes to spread the material against the joint surfaces and to obtain a professional finish. βοΈ Excess uncured sealant may be cleaned with solvent. Cured sealant can be removed barely mechanically. βοΈ 0.23 in. joint depth is recommended for joint widths between 0.23 in. to 0.47 in. βοΈ After the construction of the aquarium is complete, wait for a minimum of 21 days before usage. π₯ππ¦π§π₯πππ§ππ’π‘π¦ βοΈ It must not be used in totally confined spaces where sealant cannot cure due to lack of atmospheric moisture. βοΈ Not over paintable. βοΈ Do not expose to water before fully cured. βοΈ Do not use in conjunction with bitumen asphalt, neoprene and certain organic elastomers. βοΈ Do not use to produce swimming pool joints. βοΈ Can yellow if exposed to bleach or HCL-based brick cleaners whilst curing.
