That’s quite normal as the hair has not been bleached, aiming for rich sound and longer lifetime. QUANTITY - Each hank contains appro. 170 to 180pcs of horse hairs. The standard hair quantity for violin bow and viola bow is about 150pcs. We provided more pieces of hairs for each hank considering the expensive local re-hairing fee. LENGTH - The item is long enough. The necessary hair length for a violin bow or viola bow is about 27.5 inches. The full length of the item is about 29 inches.
