J4047 is a 12% silicon alloy used to weld heat treatable base alloys. A superior brazing alloy for the joining of aluminum to aluminum. Al-Braze is free-flowing with unequaled capillary attraction, ductility and penetration.The silicon addition improves puddle fluidity, producing an appealing bead profile.Common applications are automotive parts, truck trailers, bicycles. Also ideally suited for brazing thin aluminum sheet and tubing. Not recommended for brazing Aluminum directly to non-Aluminum alloys as the joint may be brittle.
