Water remaining on pool covers for an extended period adds extra weight and can cause ripping or tearing resulting in costly repairs or replacement. The Little Giant Select Series LG-APCP1700 115-Volt, 1/3 HP, 1745 GPH pump removes water from pool covers, boat covers or rooftops - providing added protection from prolonged accumulation of precipitation. The LG-APCP1700 easily attaches to a standard garden hose for effortless water removal. This pump is equipped with a 1/3 HP energy-efficient, permanent-split capacitor (PSC) motor and 25-foot cord. The LG-APCP1700 activates in approximately 2 in. of water and deactivates in approximately 1. in. of water. The LG-APCP1700 has a wide, weighted base design for added stability. The APCP-1700 is equipped with a 1-inch FNPT discharge and can be connected to 1-inch tubing for areas that frequently get heavy rain falls (1-inch to 2-inches per hour) for increased performance. Dimensions are 12 inches x 12 inches x 8.25 inches; weight = 13.5 lbs.
