Enamel is one of the four famous porcelains of Jingdezhen (enamel, celadon, color glaze and exquisite porcelain). Unlike celadon, which is widely known, enamel is not known because it is rare and less in circulation. The rarity of enamels is mainly due to its complicated production process and the fact that it requires highly skilled artisans and has always been the exclusive porcelain of the royal family. Enameling began in China in the late Kangxi period of the Qing dynasty and reached its peak during the Yongzheng to Qianlong periods, but the Yongzheng period was the highest level of enameling and the most beautiful in terms of craftsmanship. Traditionally, enamels were made by firing fine white porcelain from Jingdezhen and sending it to the palace where it was painted and baked with enamel glaze by the palace artisans. The skill of the painter is very high, and the level of processing is strictly controlled, and any defects are immediately broken. Because enamelware was intended for the palace's royal pleasure, it was not allowed to be lost to the outside world, so the quantity was very small. It should be noted that genuine hand-painted enamel porcelain is very expensive and cannot be produced in quantity, making it highly valuable for collection. Our products are made using paste firing - a slight difference from hand-painted enamels, but also very beautiful and less expensive, making them a great choice for home decoration.
