Makers Bolt black lag bolts are 100% solid 18-8 (304) Certified Stainless Steel providing premium protection against rust. Our lag screws are Black Oxidized here in the USA giving these hard to find fasteners a black coating. The coating not only provides a non-reflective look, it also provides increased corrosion and abrasion resistance. The Black Oxide is applied to military spec MIL-DTL-13924D Class 4. Unlike painted, powder coated, or zinced finishes, this finish will not chip, peel, or scratch off. These black lag bolts are perfect for exterior applications where high corrosion and rust resistance is required such as deck building or manufacturing assembly equipment.
