About Fresh Collagen Casing - Single Strand - The Sausage
Perfect for a single small batch of hot dog or frankfurter size sausage. Extra tender, delicate yet durable to withstand your pan's sizzle. Comes in a zipper-top bag, inside a semi-rigid, re-usable plastic tubed container with rubber caps at both ends. Tubing allows for both safe transport and easy storage for unused portions of casing. 1 piece is approximately 9.25" condensed length that pulls out to about 70 feet, stuffing approximately 20 lbs. Fresh collagen casings are a natural product made from a refined layer of cattle hide. Because of this, collagen casings are much more uniform in size, when compared to traditional natural casings. Easy to use, and do not require soaking; simply unravel and load onto stuffing horn. Be careful to not over twist links. Store under refrigeration while not in use.
