The Iridium 9575 is connected to the Iridium Satellite network, the only satellite network in the world that has 100% global coverage. With 66 orbiting satellites, Iridium boasts a fast connection speed with little latency between powering on and network registration. Designed for outdoor use, the Iridium 9575 is a rugged device that is water, shock, and dust resistant (IP65), meaning it can survive even the harshest conditions, capable of operating between -10 and +55°c. The Iridium 9575 has a standby battery life of up to 30 hours, with a talk time of up to 4 hours, meaning you are able to hold a lengthy conversation anywhere in the world, as well as send text messages, text-to-email, and receive texts, calls, and a free online message service. In addition to the features described above, the Iridium Extreme has the ability to send out tracking points to send friends and family your location. The Extreme also has an emergency function which can transmit an emergency SOS to an international search and rescue service known as GEOS. In turn, GEOS will speak to your emergency contacts and scramble the nearest search and rescue team to your location. Iridium 9575 Satellite Phone and SIM card with 300 non-rechargeable minutes of airtime valid for 365 days from date of activation. Calls to a landline or mobile anywhere in the world burn units at the rate of 60 units per minute. Outgoing SMS burns 6 units per SMS. There is no charge for incoming voice calls or SMS. Please contact us to activate the SIM. Activation can be scheduled for a future date if you do not wish to have the SIM activated immediately. There is no charge incoming calls or incoming SMS.
