REMEMBER: This fitting is for TAPERED pipe thread connections (NOT regular straight G connectors). This Hex Nipple connector is made from top grade Stainless Steel 316-L (medical grade material). Provides perfect corrosion resistance and DOES NOT contain lead. So, you can use it with potable water amongst other obvious application choices (like hydraulic oil, corrosive liquids and gas).
