Orion Motor Tech’s heavy-duty truck tailgate assist safely controls the descent and ease the raising of your pickup tailgate, freeing your hands, saving your ears, and extending the service life of your tailgate and truck bed’s other parts. Made of structural-grade 45# carbon steel, our tailgate shock boasts incredible strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. Unlike its easily broken welded counterparts on the market, our high-strength mount plate is riveted for a long service life. This tailgate shock kit is compatible with 11th & 12th generation F-series trucks using the P2 & T1 platforms: most Ford F-150 models from 2004 to 2014 and Lincoln Mark LT models from 2006, 2007, & 2008. (Note that this kit will not work with Flareside or “Stepside” models.) This Ford F-150 tailgate assist installs easily within minutes, requiring only a few wrenches and a little elbow grease.
