Give your pet a conducive habitat --- SunGrow Axolotl Leaves are around 2" (5 cm)) and are a good addition in the axolotl enclosure. You will notice that the aquarium water starts changing color to tea-like. Our leaves release compounds that are beneficial for your pet.
One product, several benefits --- Once introduced into the axolotl habitat, our leaves serve more than one purpose. It provides shelter, a supplement to their diet, energy during recovery, balances pH and clears the water.
Optimum quality leaves --- Products like bottled black-water extracts may contain other elements mixed in that may not be good for your pet. You could pick the leaves outside but you cannot be sure of the quality. The best assurance for your pet is to use SunGrow’s specially dried leaves. They are hand-picked to ensure that every single leaf is of optimum quality.
Not just for axolotls --- Please note that your axolotl amphibians are antisocial and you house one pet in one tank. If you own multiple pets, you can make use of it with shrimps, snails, and fish. With time, the leaves would soften. Shrimps have been known to nibble on soft leaves, while fish sometimes hide under them. Our leaves serve as leaf litter for your other amphibians like newts, salamanders, and frogs. Being a value pack, you'll receive 100 leaves.
Easy to use --- Depending on your water tank size and the pH level needed, drop a few leaves into your water tank (you can use a pH tester or a drop checker). Over the next few days, the leaves will slowly settle down to the bottom. Since SunGrow Special Leaves are raw, you don't have to boil them down. Simply drop these leaves straight into your tank... it's that easy to use. These leaves can be used in a cage as well, to make a more naturalistic cage.
Reptiles being cold-blooded animal species need to stay warm for optimal well-being. For their upkeep, humidity sources in their enclosure are required. Spreading a thick layer of SunGrow Leaf Litter over the substrate is one such way. In this pack, you will receive 100 dried leaves measuring around 2-inches each. You need to spread them on to the bottom of the floor. These are said to be magical leaves that quicken the recovery process. You may see the top getting dried, but the bottom of the litter stays moist. The reptile species have an instinctive fear of prey. Whether or not, any other reptile is present, you need to provide them with shelter and hiding spots. They camouflage and hide under the leaf litter. The presence of leaf litter attracts caterpillars, and worms creating a more diverse habitat. Over time, the dried leaves will provide a moisture-retentive soil where plants can thrive. You may prepare tadpole tea by boiling the leaves for 5-minutes. The water will turn into a yellow-brownish hue and will help in lowering the pH level of the soil and benefit the overall development of these cold-blooded reptiles. It’s not just snakes and other reptiles that benefit from leaf-litter; box turtles, butterflies, insect-eating birds, and many other wildlife benefits from this setup. You may also use these leaves for fun DIY crafts such as designing ornaments for a Christmas tree or use it as a stuffing for a scarecrow. As soon as you receive your packet, rinse all of the leaves and boil them for 5-10 minutes prior to adding them into their tank. Although we procure our leaves from genuine sources, the leaves have traveled a long distance to reach you and a precautionary step would prove to be beneficial.
