The GripGrab Ultralight Sleeveless Mesh Base Layer is your go-to option for hot summer cycling. The open-weave material allows your skin to breathe, while also moving perspiration away from your body to leave you feeling dry and comfortable. With minimal bulk and minimal seams, but maximum breathability - this is the base of great comfort and performance when you are working hard in the summer heat. It is also a great option to wear when riding indoors on your trainer or rollers or for spinning classes. What makes this cycling base layer stand out from the competition is its Polygiene Anti-Odour treatment, reducing the build-up of odour and keeping you fresh. Polygiene prevents the growth of odour-causing bacteria at the source. To do this, Polygiene uses low concentrations of silver salt (silver chloride), which has bacteriostatic properties. The treatment is applied at the finishing stages of textile production and field and lab tests show a high level of odour control beyond the usual lifespan of a garment. Polygiene silver salt technology is only active on the textiles itself. Polygiene is not nanosilver. This treatment is completely safe on your skin and doesn't wash out. Reduced growth of odour can lead to less odour build-up and therefore reduce the washing frequency. Consequently, Polygiene treatment can increase the lifespan of a product and reduce the environmental impact due to less washing and therefore less consumption of water and electricity.
