Close nipple for creating a close fit between connecting pipes.
One piece construction, available in barstock or forgings, no space between threaded ends.
Legines pipe fittings are made of CA360 or CA377 brass, not ordinary copper alloy, and meet SAE standard, have dryseal threads, forgings & extruded.
Operating pressure of our fittings is up to 1200psi, more higher than other general fittings. Temperatures range from -53 to 121 degrees C (-65 to 250 degrees F)
These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for
Legines close nipple is a brass pipe fitting with 1/4" male NPT threads. The nipple fitting is a short length of pipe with threaded ends for connecting two threaded pipes. It has male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting to female threaded pipes, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. Brass can be connected to copper, brass, plastic, aluminum, and welded steel. The brass close nipple has fair vibration resistance and is suitable in low to medium pressure applications. Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
