The forward 5A model features an Acorn tip and a short, 2 1/4" Taper for power and speed. Cut in shira kashi Oak, this version adds increased articulation, weight and durability compared with the standard hickory model. In 1957, Promark was the first American drumstick manufacturer to market with a sustainable Japanese Oak drumstick. For the last six decades, drummers have enjoyed our assortment of shira kashi Oak classic drumstick models for their weight, articulation and durability characteristics.
