About Dali Oberon 3 Bookshelf Speaker - Black

Larger-Than-Standard Tweeters and Drivers Help Dali Oberon 3 Bookshelf Loudspeakers Play with Big Sound, Deep Bass, Gripping Dynamics, and Proper Scale Bigger-than-conventional dimensions in tweeter and driver size in the Dali Oberon 3 bookshelf loudspeaker translate into larger soundstages, deeper bass, greater dynamics, and crisper midrange frequencies. Combining the advantages of tower designs with the compact dimensions of a stand-mount speaker, Oberon 3 offers stellar coherency, timing, and integration – as well as look-twice aesthetics and four available finishes. It's also engineered to deliver wide dispersion patterns, meaning that even if you listen off-axis, you'll enjoy audiophile performance marked by excellent imaging and focus. With no need to be in a toed-in position (a hallmark of all Dali speakers), Oberon 3 also benefits from reduced harmonic distortion and distortion-causing diffractions. The factors responsible for Oberon 3's overachieving performance directly relate to its 1.15-inch soft-dome tweeter and SMC-based seven-inch wood-fiber woofer, the very same found in the floor-standing Oberon 7 model. The tweeter is custom-made especially for Oberon Series and generates high pressure with less excursion, keeping voice-coil motion to a minimum. It also weighs less than those from the competition, while its front plate boasts similar geometry to the company's more advanced units. With the tweeter providing extended frequency response and low coloration, its complementary woofer – with a 15% larger membrane dimension than the typical 6.5-inch woofer – plays with high accuracy and control. A single-wire crossover and solid, resonance-defeating cabinet – lined with acoustic damping material located along the sides, top, and bottom – combine with rear-panel bass ports and an advanced motor system to complete a model that aces positioning, sonic, and decor tests. Ideal for medium-sized spaces where they can si
