About E-jen Premium Kimchi, Sauerkraut Container
e-jen containers are lightweight, simple and very easy to use unlike heavy mason jars. Perfect for any type of pickling and fermentation, from kimchi to sauerkraut. The e-jen containers can also be used to store just about anything that fits inside. e-jen storage containers are equipped with an adjustable press plate that creates a vacuum inside. Fermentation retains more vitamins and minerals in the food than other preservation methods. The pressing plate keeps the kimchi or pickled vegetables in an airtight space and promotes an anaerobic state that promotes the growth of probiotics (lactobacillus). The anaerobic process requires an oxygen-free environment. When oxygen is present, the wrong organisms thrive instead of the friendly bacteria and/or yeasts we want to breed. The design and shape of the containers make it easy to store food both in the refrigerator and pantry without taking up too much space. The double lid retains odours better than most other containers and prevents odours from spreading in the kitchen or fridge.
