An Art of Painting Expansion ColorCerulean Blue is a brilliant blue named for the Latin word for "sky". When picking pigments for the Heritage Acrylics we opted for the safest possible variation of Cerulean Blue. We avoid the use of Chromium Oxides because of their toxicity and instead choose a pigment derived from tin. This Cerulean Blue has a pure clear color that looks wonderful in seascapes. A staple color in a watercolor palette, Cerulean Blue creates a beautiful array of soft greys when combined with Burnt Sienna. Heritage Acrylic Paints and MediumsHeritage MultiMedia Acrylic products are a water based non toxic resin acrylic. The binding system contains a 360º coating agent that protects the pigment and improves the overall lightfastness of the color. Dry as needed with a hair dryer and clean up with soap and water. Heritage MultiSurface Sealer and Varnishes contain UV inhibitors to further protect surfaces. For Global techniques (oil emulation), use with Extender Medium. By evaporating the water out of the paint and replacing it with Extender you can add hours to the drying time. For more on this process please visit us at Global Art Supply. Paints drying time and working properties can be adjusted with mediums. Paints are available in 2 1/2 oz. clear tubes with some colors available in economical 8 ounce wide mouth jars. Mediums, sealers, and primers are also available in 4 oz., 8 oz. and 16 oz. sizes.
