How to use a Density Cup:1.Weigh cleaned density cup empty and record weight2.Temper density cup and test liquid (20°C±0.5°C/68°F±1.0°F)3.load the liquid into density cup4.Put cover on without tilting to avoid air bubbles5.Remove overflowing liquid carefully with absorbent cloth6.Weigh filled density cup7.Calculate densityCalculation method:[ ρ=(m2 - m1) / V ]m1= the weight of cup (g)m2= the total weight of cups and sample (g)V= volume of the cup (ml)Care of density cups:With the exception of a daily cleaning, density cups are essentially maintenance free.
