About Edens Garden Frankincense- Sacra Essential
This particular frankincense essential oil is slowly distilled from resin of the frankincense tree which grows in the deep reaches of the southern Oman, an Arab country in the southeastern coast of the Arabian peninsula. Frankincense sacra essential oil exudes deep warmth, sublime sweet notes and balsamic, ancient earthiness. When used by diffusion this essential oil adds a most serene element to rooms, grounding, reflective and supportive of meditation. This extra precious essential oil is very supportive for enriching and softening stretched or stressed skin that is now healed, but remains in sub par appearance. This essential oil of antiquity has been favored for helping one address deeper emotional challenges that may tie to manifestation of physical issues. Its moisturizing effects are perfect for dry climates or undernourished skin types, keeping in mind that many plants grown in desert environments are valued for mature skin also. Sports enthusiasts will also benefit from the soothing effects of this popular essential oil. Frankincense essential oil is extracted from the resin harvested from boswellia trees by slicing open the bark and allowing it to drip or "bleed" out. This glistening resin then hardens into "tears" which native residents call the "blood" of the frankincense tree. The ritual gathering of frankincense resin had gone on for many centuries and trees are revered and protected closely, many are owned by and passed down through generations as a way of life and economic livelihood. The essential oil is distilled from this resin.
