About Edens Garden Eucalyptus Radiata Essential

When learning about the many medicinal and healing properties of essential oils for the first time, Eucalyptus was likely part of the introduction. It is a powerful oil with an abundance of therapeutic and medicinal properties and is a meaningful addition to any massage oil. Edens Garden carries two Eucalyptus oils, the other being Eucalyptus-Globulus. The primary difference of Radiata is the presence of the constituent, a-Terpineole (up to 15%) which is not found in Globulus. It has a cool, crisp and cool aroma that can help relieve colds, sore throats, congestion and pain. Native to Australia, Eucalyptus makes up more than 90 percent of the nationÌs trees. The essential oil is extracted from the treeÌs leaves through a steam distillation process. For ages, Eucalyptus was utilized for its medicinal and antiseptic qualities. It became known as catheter oil when British hospitals, in the nineteenth century, used it to sterilize urinary catheters. It is also wonderfully effective for circulatory issues like arthritis and rheumatism and can even help heal chicken pox or shingles.
