Product Description FAKRO LSF 66858 Fire-Resistant Insulated Steel Scissor Attic Ladder for 22-Inch x 47-Inch Rough Openings From the Manufacturer The FAKRO LSF fire-resistant steel scissor attic ladder offers an easy access to the attic at the same time performing the function of a blaze block in case of a fire inside of the building. This version of the LSF (model 66858) fits into rough openings measuring 22 x 47 inches and is designed for ceiling heights between 7 feet, 2 inches and 9 feet, 10 inches. Manufactured with fireproof materials, the inner part of the ladder frame is equipped with a gasket that expands under extreme heat, guaranteeing tightness during fire that also prevents smoke from entering higher floors. The LSF ladder is fire resistant at EI2 60 minutes. The 2-1/8-inch thick insulated, white-finished metal door also helps to reduce energy costs. The small ladder dimensions, achieved thanks to the unique folding system, allow the ladder to be installed in smaller openings. The S-shaped strings not only give this attic ladder a modern look but they also perform the role of a handrail helping to climb the ladder. The nearly invisible hatch's unique opening mechanism ensures the ladder opens slowly. Once fully open, the mechanism will hold the hatch in position to prevent it from slamming shut. A specially embossed pattern on the step surface prevents accidental slippage. This ladder has a maximum user weight of 300 pounds. It's backed by a two-year limited warranty.
