Norton BlueFire R887P abrasive belt. Portable file belt sanders have replaced tedious hand filing and sanding. First introduced in pneumatic, they are now available in electric. Increasingly, tool manufacturers are introducing additional fixtures for an increasing number of applications. Patented first-generation SG ceramic alumina abrasive for exceptional cut rate and life, especially on hard-to-grind alloys. Aggressive cut rate throughout the life of the belt with up to 3X performance advantage over standard belts. Durable Y-weight polyester, waterproof cloth backing for improved grain adhesion, reduced edge-fray and better body retention, resulting in longer life and product consistency. Grinding aid coating means cooler cut, burn-free grinding of heat-sensitive materials, and minimized loading. Made in the USA. Applicable for light weld removal and blending, shape and contour sanding, general clean up and finishing. Closed coat type.
