Possessing a luxurious blend of antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamin E, Meadowfoam's unique composition enhances the skin's natural glow while working as an anti-aging moisturizer. As it softens and protects, Meadowfoam's emollient qualities capture and contain the moisture on the skin and hair. It easily absorbs into the skin leaving it feeling nourished as it slows transepidermal water loss. BOTANICAL NAME: Limnanthes alba EXTRACTION METHOD: Solvent Extraction AROMA: Meadowfoam has a very slight oily aroma CONSISTENCY: Typical and characteristic of carrier oils COLOR: Pale yellow to golden yellow ABSORPTION: Meadowfoam absorbs easily into the skin leaving a silky smooth feel. COMMON USES: Meadowfoam is extraordinarily moisturizing and rejuvenating. It contains 98% fatty acids long-chain carbon atoms and is highly resistant to oxidation because of its naturally occurring tocopherols. Containing a high level of emollient qualities, Meadowfoam is used to soften, protect and retain moisture of the skin and hair. Meadowfoam is a vital component in many cosmetics including massage oils, sunscreen, lipsticks, lotions, scalp treatments, shampoos, cuticle creams and rouges. It has a very long shelf life and is used to preserve the aroma of many essential oils. SAFETY: Meadowfoam may cause allergic reactions. Sensitive individuals should discuss use with their doctor before application. For those with oily skin, Meadowfoam may cause breakouts SHELF LIFE: Shelf life of 1 year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
