Start the seed indoors 8 - 10 weeks before the last expected frost. Press the seeds into the soil covering them with 1/8 inch of soil. Keep the seed moist until germination. With temperatures of 75F, germination is normally within 7 days. Transplant outdoors when frost danger has passed. Space the plants 8 - 12 inches apart. Grow in full sun and in moist, well-drained soil. Water the plants regularly. Use balanced liquid fertilizer monthly throughout the growing season. Deadhead spent blooms to keep blooming continuous.
