It grows well on sandy infertile soils, and it prefers a location in full sun. Purple Love Grass forms clumps of coarse grass blades. The grass transforms in late summer when the purple colored flowers form.

  • Purple love grass grows as a perennial ornamental grass in USDA zones 5 - 10 reaching a height of 20 inches.
