About 1862 OIL Indigo

Lukas 1862 oil - finest artist's oil paints in professional quality. In the year of the company founding in 1862, the finest artist's oil colour was created according to the recipes of the Lukas founder Dr. Fr. Schoenfeld. The aim at that time to produce one of the world's finest oil colours is maintained until today. Since 1862, the names Dr. Fr. Schoenfeld and LUKAS have been synonymous with artist colours of the highest quality. Even Vincent van Gogh has been proven to work with Lukas products. The great master was able to send his colours extra from Düsseldorf. The use of the most precious artist's pigments, which are used exclusively pure and uncut, guarantee exceptional colour intensity and the highest light fastness. The buttrige consistency in combination with the best oils and a trace of the finest bleached beeswax makes the colour film less brittle and reduces the formation of cracks. To ensure minimum yellowing, sunflower oil is preferred to darker linseed oil in bright colours. The drying time of all colours is 2 to 4 days with a thin brush stroke thickness. Painting reasons: The Lukas 1862 oil paints can be used on many painting reasons, whether on canvases, painting boards or wooden boards. The wide range of 70 colours leaves nothing to be desired by a creative artist. Whether it's real cadmium, cobalt or earth pigments – the oil painter has all classically valuable tones.
