About D'Addario Pro-Arte Viola Single D String, Long
Helicore viola strings are crafted with a multi-stranded steel core, making for optimum playability and producing a clear, warm tone. The smaller string diameter provides quick bow response. Premium quality materials combine with skilled workmanship to craft strings with excellent pitch stability and longevity. Sized to fit long-scale viola (body length 16-16 1/2 inches) with a playing length of 15 inches (380mm), medium tension strings are optimized to the needs of a majority of players. The H415 high E string is tin-plated high carbon steel, similar to a violin plain steel E string except scaled to fit viola scale length. The H415 E string is available as a single string only and is not part of the H410 set.
