The Wilkin family has been farming in Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves since 1885. Majority of the fruit used in Tiptree jars are grown on their own farm, ensuring fruit is hand picked with care at the most optimal time.
About Tiptree Quince Preserve, 12 Ounce Jar
Quince is a most unusual fruit, about the size and shape of a large misshapen pear with yellow fluffy skin. When cooked with sugar, the quince takes on a character all of its own, to create this delightful conserve. All fruit is hand sorted, the implement used to de-core the quinces is called a 'Plonker'.
