Easily installed in 15 minutes, the Rain Bird CNV182BUB conversion kit allows you to convert pop-up spray heads into a water-saving microbubbler system that waters flower beds, shrubs, and more with pinpoint efficiency. The conversion kit saves up to 40 percent more water, plus encourages improved plant health with less fungi on leaves. And because you won't be watering the surrounding soil, you'll have less weeds to pull. Owners of Rain Bird 1800 Series sprinklers--the most popular sprinkler head installed by irrigation contractors--may be able to make the conversion without digging. To install, simply remove the old sprinkler heads, screw on the conversion heads and manifolds, attach the tubing and cut to length, and insert the stakes with the bug caps, placing the heads near the root zone of your plants. Each conversion head can be used to replace most standard pop-up sprinklers with a 1/2-inch threaded bottom inlet. Each kit contains a pressure-compensating six-outlet manifold; an 1800 retro spray head with a filter and pressure regulator; 50 feet of 1/4-inch distribution tubing; six bug caps that allow flow while preventing insects from entering; and six stakes to direct the flow at each plant. The conversion kit installs in as few as 15 minutes.
