Gouache is also widely used in fine art as an opaque water color. Today the Designers Gouache range benefits from significant developments in technology and is smoother, flatter, more opaque and more brilliant than ever before. Zinc White is an opaque white color based on zinc pigments. It is an excellent tinting white and is also known as Chinese White. It was introduced in the UK by Winsor & Newton in the mid-19th century.
