Ensuring that your turntable platter is perfectly level is critical to obtaining correct tracking performance. This simple, accurate bubble level is perfect for the job. This precision level is molded from crystal white plastic and attaches quickly by simply placing on the record spindle. The bubble level shows turntable level at a glance to within 1 degree of accuracy. Start by checking how level the work area is. If the surface you will be putting your turntable on is not level, do the best you can to make it so. Place shims under the foundation as necessary to make the bubble appear in the center of the printed circles. Observe the motion of the bubble to test for wobble in the foundation. An added feature is the strobe speed indicator which will allow you to accurately adjust the speed of your turntable to 33-1/3, 45 and 78rpm. Designed for use in artificial light, the disc's pattern will appear to be static when the turntable's speed is correct (because of the 50Hz/60Hz mains frequency). All you need to do it place the disc on your platter, turn on your light and then adjust your turntable's speed control until the pattern on the disc doesn't move.
