It is in these paragraphs that Erik's personal relationship with the park comes to life. I am also happy to report that Mr. Stensland is a genuinely nice guy. He operates a gallery in Estes Park, CO, where his photography is available for purchase. He is known by many to do absolutely everything in his power to minimize the impact he has on fragile ecosystems while photographing the park. Practicing "Leave No Trace" hiking, he is cognizant of every footstep he takes and always aims to leave the wilderness a better place than he found it. He also no longer shares the exact locations of his photographs in an attempt to minimize the additional traffic that could result from others trying to replicate a photograph. This book will grace my coffee table until I no longer have one. It garners oohs and ahhs from everyone who flips through it. Erik Stensland is lucky to have RMNP, and RMNP is lucky to have Erik Stensland. This is his work at its most accessible.
