About Betty Grable Paper Dolls

Product Description Hollywood star and pinup queen, Betty Grable, was the subject of many paper doll books. This 1943 reproduction is a favorite among collectors. Known as the Victory Set, this book includes day clothes, evening gowns and period costumes plus clothes from her early 1940s movies including Coney Island, Tin Pan Alley and Song of the Island. Two dolls and eight clothing pages. A lovely star biography is included on the inside back cover, written by fashion expert, David Wofe. Great for Betty Grable fans and collectors of Hollywood nostalgia and WWII memorabilia. About the Author A fan of paper dolls since childhood, Jenny Taliadoros has been in the paper doll publishing business since 1991 starting with the specialty magazine, Paper Doll Studio, for the Original Paper Doll Artists Guild. Her mother, well-known paper doll artist, Judy M Johnson, had started the publication in 1984 and handed it over to Jenny when she started her own graphic design and publishing business. Since then, Taliadoros has added another magazine, Paperdoll Review, focusing on the nostalgia of paper dolls, and has built a successful paper doll mail order and website business. In 2005, she reached out to paper doll artists across the country--and even around the world--to compile a special book, “Paper Doll Artists Gallery,” with 22 original paper dolls by 22 artists. With the increasing interest in vintage reproduction paper dolls, Taliadoros has expanded her publishing business to include reproductions of desirable paper doll books such as Lana Turner, Rita Hayworth, Betty Grable and others. Taliadoros enjoys small-town life in the mountains of Maine with her husband and looks forward to adding more titles to her publishing business--both vintage reproductions and original artist paper dolls.
