This isn’t your standard chunky tomato relish-style salsa. True Mexican salsa is smoother and more viscous. You can dip your tortilla chips in it, but it’s so much more versatile. Add a dash to your eggs for a kick. Mix a spoonful or two with mashed avocado, and you’ve got a tasty guacamole in less than two minutes. Does “Mexican” mean “burn your tongue off” to you? Our sauces let you indulge in the flavors of Mexico with a fraction of the pain. Don’t be afraid of words like “jalapeño” and “habanero”. They provide just a kick; the real stars are the other ingredients: roasted tomatoes, sweet garlic, piquant vinegars, and pungent herbs like cilantro and oregano. But don’t think our salsas are overly sweet and wimpy; they rate from medium to medium-hot on the heat scale, depending on the chilis used. If you’re not used to a lot of heat, go easy at first, and add more as you desire.
