Illustrated in Color Formatted for better reading experience Available as eBook and print In this charming book, written over one hundred years ago, Anna Comstock treats us to her inner thoughts and admiration to the trees around her. First published in 1902 as an article in Country Life in America, Doubleday & Co. granted the publishing rights back to Mrs. Comstock in later years, and in 1916, she published her lovely, petite book under her own Comstock Publishing Co. title. In her original publication, she included several black and white photographs. HearthRoom Press sought to include updated images in this edition and found that illustrations from Stanley Badmin fit the mood of this book perfectly. You'll notice the way he painted the bare trees against the colors of the winter skies aligns well with the poetic nature of this beautiful book. HearthRoom Press seeks to research and republish out-of-print works of science and nature.
