The Talboys Advanced 1000RS rocking platform shaker has a speed range of 1 to 50 rpm; a platform with a rubber nonslip mat that holds culture plates, media bottles, and Erlenmeyer flasks with a total weight of 10lb.; digital control and LED readout of speed, time, and tilt angle; timed operation up to 160 hours; and a platform tilt angle adjustable from 0 to 15 degrees for gentle to moderately vigorous two-dimensional agitation. The sealed ball bearings and brushless DC motor require no maintenance, and a speed ramping feature reduces the possibility of splashing. When the set time has elapsed, an alarm sounds and the platform stops moving, or the unit can be set for continuous operation. This shaker is used in a variety of laboratory procedures, including cell culture, hematology, and chemical mixing.This laboratory shaker has audible and visual alarms that activate if a platform obstruction or overload is detected.
