Review Reviewed By Barbara Fanson for Readers' Favorite 5 stars "Author Misty Black has added subtle anti-bullying survival solutions into a children's picture book that parents and teachers will love. The cute and adorable animal illustrations will attract children and pull them into the book, while the relatable story will keep them reading. I highly recommend this for students in kindergarten to grade 4.  Besides enjoying the story, children will learn to recognize bullying and how to deal with it--and how to apologize when you have done something wrong." SLH Books 5 stars " The author gently shows young readers how pranks and jokes can quickly accelerate, and she does so without "preaching or teaching." Instead, the message plays out through thoughtfully constructed prose that kids will resonate with and learn from organically. Punk goes through a complete character arc and it's fun to watch as he journeys from attention-seeker to blaming others to self-realization and finally to taking responsibility for his action and making things right." From the Author Have you ever had a pet skunk? My family has.  Well, he was more of an unwanted guest than a pet. We had to name him Punk since I was in the middle of writing Punk the Skunk when he showed up. He was a young skunk, which meant he was adorable and TERRIFYING! He burrowed his home beneath our shed. The threat of his super stinky skunk spray gave him the freedom to roam around our entire back yard. For a month, Punk enjoyed scaring me and my kids and rummaging through our vegetable garden. Then one day, Punk decided he didn't like Bear, the neighbor's barking dog, and decided to leave. Thank you, Bear.
