The MTI Thunder R-Spec rescue PFD is intended for experienced paddlers, guides, and others who may need to perform swimming rescues. The primary difference between a regular PFD and a rescue PFD is the inclusion of a Quick Release Harness Belt System (QRHS). Designed for experienced paddlers who may need to perform swimming rescues, the Thunder R-Spec QRHS meets the latest UL/USCG standards. PFDs with QRHS are intended for rescue teams, first responders, and highly skilled civilian paddlers with the training and understanding needed to participate in swiftwater rescue situations. The low profile design of the MTI Thunder R-Spec PFD has 3D sculpted foam for fantastic freedom of movement making it a favorite among guides and experienced whitewater paddlers. Adjustable neoprene shoulder straps allow you to push this jacket way down low on your torso with an internal strapping system to reinforce the hold. A zippered front entry, waist belt with Grip-loc, adjustable shoulder straps, stretch mesh sides, and eight points of adjustment provide a comfortable and secure fit. Four waist-mounted D-rings allow attachment of an optional crotch strap. Three chest pockets include a large cargo pocket with antenna portal, key carabiner, and D ring attachment point and two smaller zippered pockets. Inside hand warmer pockets with fleece and stretch mesh, a quick release cow tail keeper, a front mounted lash tab for your river knife, a helmet/hat holder loop, and plenty of reflective material complete this ultimate river guide rescue PFD.
