About Merit Brass-01428-64 Stainless Steel 304/304L Pipe
The Merit Brass Type C MSS stub end is a schedule 10 stainless steel 304/304L butt-weld pipe fitting designed for use with lap joint or slip on flanges to connect pipes to flat surfaces or to other flanged end connections. The Type C fitting has a short outside fillet radius and a butt-weld, beveled opening for welding pipes together. Made of stainless steel 304L, the lower carbon content of this stub end minimizes harmful carbide precipitation due to welding, ensuring corrosion resistance. It meets both steel 304 strength standards and 304L extra-low carbon standards for quality assurance.
