Her first children's book, "Nicolli and the Shining Star" to help a child cope with the loss of a loved one. Tomika self-published this book on behalf of her two daughters because they both lost their fathers. Not only did Tomika lose her daughters' fathers, she also lost her mom, sister and grandmother.
