She cannot keep her eyes off him, or him off her as it turns out, and before long their romance brings an intense heat to the book. It's a steamy love at first sight romance novel that is so detailed in some scenes that makes it so intense and saucy that I'm shocked the pages didn't set fire before my very eyes... Not just your typical teen drama and not any old romance book either. Somehow D.D Larson has blended both with a little bit of mystery to create a masterpiece that at points can leave little to the imagination. You could argue that it could be portrayed as a 50 shades rewrite but boy the passion, romance and downright drama written on those pages beg to differ. With so much drama it's nice to see Seryna, who at times can be a downright naive teen, supported by Alex and Kabs, her 2 best friends. They are always apart of the picture and they help to provide a stable environment for Seryna to recenter and ground herself whenever needed. The first person point of view from Seryna at all times shows just how expertly D.D Larson has written the intimacy of the story without ever letting the story break its stride.I cannot remember the last time I got this into a story, wishing that I could be that girl, and hanging on to every word. It truly took my breath away and I for one, cannot wait for the sequel.If you're looking for something a little exotic and saucy then this book could be the one for you!
