Includes a FREE photobook and Arabic recipes from Nadia Sawalha. Review 5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner from Victoria ably abetted by Joe. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 17 Verified Purchase How anyone can give this wonderful book anything less than 5 stars I fail to understand. Nope, it's beyond me. Just as light and bubbly and refreshing as all the others. I laughed and giggled my way through it as I do with all of Victoria's books. Its poor Joe I feel sorry for, his dear lady wife is quite obviously a complete nutcase of the most luvvable (is that a word.. oh hang it, it is now!) kind. Heartily recommended to anybody with a sense of humour and a well developed sense of adventure to go with it. The recipes are a joy and a welcome addition to add to the flavour. I've tried several myself with much attendant lipsmacking from my own husband. Dawne Archer - Author of Trekker Girl 5.0 out of 5 stars Middle Eastern Adventures Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 8, 2020 Verified Purchase So, Joe drops the bombshell that he would like to do more teaching and Victoria joins him for their adventures at an international school in Bahrain at a most turbulent time in the history of this country. Always interesting, at times horrifying, once again I found myself transported into the life of this intrepid couple. Bahrain was a far cry from the small mountain village in Spain they had called home and, at times, both Joe and Victoria wondered quite what they had got themselves into. Some wonderful characters appear in this book, bringing the whole experience to life. I can't wait to read more. About the Author Victoria Twead is the New York Times bestselling author of Chickens, Mules and Two Old Fools and the subsequent books in the Old Fools series.
