Very Simple in Design-these flat fasteners are shaped like two washers that got crushed in a press somewhere, ending up with a figure-eight shape. By recessing one "washer" into the top of your vertical piece, you use the other "washer" to attach to the horizontal. ★It is made with the high quality of die casting steel (almost 1/8" thick) coated with zinc for rusting and corrosion resistance. Each fastener measures 1-3/16" x 5/8" x 12 gauge (~1/8") thick. ★It reduces Wood Splitting - Securely fastens wooden table surface to its rails, while providing a pivot point to accommodate seasonal wood movement.
