The Patent Pending “2177” Series family of products from PACLOCK is the killer of all “hockey-puck” style padlocks! 304 Stainless Steel body makes the 2177S a killer padlock with superior weatherability and strength, the best of both worlds! All the benefits of a traditional, hardened steel PACLOCK hockey-puck, but with one amazing feature ~ a cone shaped front! Every other hockey-puck on the planet is flat on the front. Several attacks/defeats for a hockey-puck aim at trying to drill the face of the lock. The “Cone puck” was conceived and engineered specifically to thwart any type of frontal drilling attack. The cone is especially effective when the puck is situated in a recessed housing that forces the attacker to use longer length drill bits. As with our “2173” Series of pucks, the 2177 has special tapped holes on the back allowing the user to affix this padlock directly to a gate, a door, or anything that swings open. Mounting this padlock to the hasp, like PACLOCK’s PL810, means no more lost padlocks because the operator forgot about it! It’s flat-back design is better suited for any “shrouded” hasps that typically stepped-back padlocks are used.
