The Triplett gem CCTV video-only balun provides video over pins 7 and 8. Transmit cable lengths up to 1000 feet utilizing screw terminals. The pigtailed design can be used at the DVR/monitor for ease of BNC connection. Using a balun at each end of a UTP cable creates a more versatile and future proof system. Triplett gem baluns can enhance your system with up to 4 cameras on a single Cat5 cable. You can IP address the entire analog system plus cable in place for a full IP digital system upgrade. You can also achieve longer cable runs - Passive up to 2000 feet, active up to 1.5 miles. Triplett gem baluns also lower material cost (Cat5 versus coax cable) and reduce the labor needed during installation by using cables already in place.
