About NEW SOUTHWEST SPEED STEERING RAG JOINT, 13/16"-36 X

Brand New Steering Rag Joint (SWS Part # 105-9712). These are brand new parts produced by Southwest Speed Inc. It is always a good idea to replace the rag joint when doing any work on the steering system. Rag joints provide a small amount of flex for a steering shaft within a few degrees of the same plane as the steering gear input shaft. They also provide some damping of vibration coming from the steering system, providing some isolation for the steering wheel. These joints will wear over time, so replacing them is an inexpensive way to refresh the steering system. Features: This includes both sides of the rag joint, not just one half. Steering Shaft Side: 13/16"-36 spline Steering Box Side: 3/4"-36 spline Fits: Some GM 122 manual steering boxes Most 1963-1967 Corvette manual steering boxes Many Ford manual and power steering boxes Most Ford Mustang II and Pinto power rack and pinions Many Chrysler manual and power steering boxes and rack and pinions As well as numerous other applications ***Make sure to count your splines to verify which shaft your steering box has. This list is only a general guide. You can see a note in the images, which will help you determine how to properly count the splines***
