About Amaranth Paniculatus Red Shank Seeds For Planting

A spectacular, unique plant that continuously blooms from June to October and is also edible. Sow directly in open ground from mid-May to early June when the soil temperature is 65-75°F. Soak seeds for 20 minutes in cool water and drain them thoroughly. Sow ¼-inch deep in loose non-acidic and well-drained soil in a full sun area with a minimum of 6 hours of sun daily, protected from the wind. Cover lightly with soil. Water regularly. After a month thin the seedlings to 20 inches apart. In June, pinch the plant from above to help flowers grow. Once the plant is established, water it only during prolonged droughts. Weeding and mounding are recommended.
