Leather Floater for Cotton Candy Floss machines. Set of two. Manufactured in the USA by MEG Concession Supply This part is for most cotton candy floss machines in the commercial product line. These full length (2 inches) leather floaters may be trimmed if necessary for fine tuning to your particular floss machine. Twist floaters so leading edge is pointed downward and "lifts" the floss as it is produced. Floaters may be moistened to help retain shape when dry. These leather floaters are of the highest quality and are suitable for commercial/professional applications. Trimming instruction included for best operation. Set of two, as shown. To work correctly, floaters need to be positioned and twisted in to position correctly. To adjust leather floaters, fully wet the leather with a wet cloth. Using your right hand, grab and twist the floater so the leading edge is pointing downward (if spinner head spins counter-clockwise). Rotate the spinner head 180 degrees and repeat the procedure with the other floater. They act similar to a ceiling fan forcing the air flow downward and outward then upwards (following the curvature of the pan bottom) towards the retaining stabilizer mesh. After adjustment, allow leather to dry completely to retain shape. If the floss collects too low on the stabilizer mesh, twist the front (leading) edge of the leather floaters down; this action will allow you to get more lift and the floss will collect higher. This creates a lifting action to float the floss higher on the outside wall of the floss pan. For machines with spinner head diameter of 7 inches or larger, do not trim floater. For smaller diameter machines, trim accordingly with scissors. May be substituted for Gold Medal part number 20010.
