About Embedded System Interfacing: Design For The

Product Description Embedded System Interfacing: Design for the Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) takes a comprehensive approach to the interface between embedded systems and software. It provides the principles needed to understand how digital and analog interfaces work and how to design new interfaces for specific applications. The presentation is self-contained and practical, with discussions based on real-world components. Design examples are used throughout the book to illustrate important concepts. This book is a complement to the author's Computers as Components, now in its fourth edition, which concentrates on software running on the CPU, while Embedded System Interfacing explains the hardware surrounding the CPU. Review A comprehensive resource on Design for the Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) About the Author Marilyn Wolf received her BS, MS, and PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1980, 1981, and 1984, respectively. She was with AT&T Bell Laboratories from 1984 to 1989. She was on the faculty of Princeton University from 1989 to 2007. Her research interests include embedded computing, embedded video and computer vision, and VLSI systems. She has received the ASEE Terman Award and IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Education Award. She is a Fellow of the IEEE and ACM and an IEEE Computer Society Golden Core member. She is the author of two successful Morgan Kaufmann textbooks on embedded systems: Computers as Components, Fourth Edition (2016); and High-Performance Embedded Computing, Second Edition (2014), as well as her newest text The Physics of Computing (2016), a foundational view of the physical principles underlying computers.
